Dr Meredith Craigie

M CraigieMeredith Craigie trained in medicine followed by anaesthesia and intensive care in Adelaide, further specialising in paediatric anaesthesia in the United Kingdom followed by a Masters of Pain Medicine from Sydney University.

She works in the Pain Management Unit at the Royal Adelaide Hospital and in private practice at Pelvic Pain SA. She is a Clinical Senior Lecturer at Flinders University.

Meredith joined the Board of the Faculty of Pain Medicine in 2012 and was elected as vice-dean in 2016. She is a member of the Board Executive Committee and chairs the Training and Assessment Executive Committee. Meredith led the Curriculum Redesign Project and now chairs the Learning and Development Committee. She represents the Faculty on the Pain in Childhood SIG of the Australian Pain Society. She has been an FPM Examiner since 2002, chairing the Examinations Committee in 2011-2012.

Her interests include medical education, pain in childhood and adolescence, persistent pelvic pain and transition from acute to chronic pain. She is a foundation board member of the Pelvic Pain Foundation of Australia and participates in overseas aid programs with Flinders Overseas Health Group.
