2015 Spring Meeting

The Faculty of Pain Medicine and the organising committee of the 2015 Spring Meeting would like to invite you to beautiful Queenstown for this inspiring three day event.

This year, the spring meeting “Adventures in pain” will examine acute and chronic pain management in trauma, sports and remote settings.   The meeting will be held at the world renowned Heritage Queenstown, with its spectacular views of the towering Remarkables Mountain range rising from the waters of Lake Wakatipu, from October 2-4 2015.

The international invited speaker, Dr Beth Winkelstein (USA), is a  Professor of Bioengineering and Professor of Neurosurgery, as well as Associate Dean for Undergraduate Education in the School or Engineering and Applied Science, at the University of Pennsylvania.

Complementing the international visitor will be a range of Australian and New Zealand speakers from a range of medical specialities including neurosurgery, orthopaedics, and sports medicine. We will also hear cutting edge research presented by scientists from a range of disciplines, complimented by presenters with personal experience of working in extreme environments or managing elite athletes.

I look forward to welcoming you to New Zealand!

Dr Duncan Wood, Convenor
